I’m a local artist who specializes in realistic/impressionistic oil paintings. After retiring as a graphic designer, I studied at the Kewaunee Academy of Fine Art for 4 years learning how to become a professional oil painter. My style is more old world impressionistic than anything else. My subjects include serene landscapes (sometimes with figures) story-telling images or design-driven pieces. The one thing almost all my paintings have in common is the quality of the light. That probably drives my work more than anything.

In addition, I accept commissions and am available to teach drawing and painting privately or in groups.
