POSITION SUMMARY:

NWAR is seeking a motivated, self-directed and technically skilled individual with real estate experience who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Training will be provided by our retiring MLS Coordinator who anticipates retirement in mid-2025. About NWAR & GNMLS: https://northwoodsrealtors.org/about-us/

The MLS Coordinator is responsible for handling operational issues and providing support for the MLS system while ensuring accuracy and usefulness for members.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Responsible for management of the daily activities and operations of GNMLS

• Provides keen oversight of the MLS system used by 700+ REALTORS

• Possesses strong knowledge of GNMLS policies and compliance procedures

• Develops training materials and conducts MLS training for new subscribers

• Prepares and sends monthly billing to Participants and collects/records MLS payments (Quickbooks desktop)

• Provides MLS technical and phone support for GNMLS products and systems

• Manages data exchange with GNMLS firms, their website hosts and others who receive GNMLS datafeeds

• Reviews and revises MLS policies and governing documents

• Prepares monthly meeting agendas for MLS Board and communicates to leadership and Participants

• Co-hosts NWAR/GNMLS events & classes – often fast-paced & occasional heavy lifting

• Assists Finance Committee in preparing annual NWAR & GNMLS budgets

• Writes content as needed for NWAR/GNMLS monthly newsletter

• Stays informed of technology trends and NAR policy changes, providing useful guidance to MLS leadership

• All other duties as assigned by the GNMLS Board of Directors or Association Executive

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficient in technology including MS Office suite, Quickbooks desktop, cloud storage and online platforms

• Prefer 1+ years’ experience in real estate industry with use of MLS software

• Self-learner, motivated worker and effective multi-tasker

• “Problem solver” at a minimum, but “Problem foreseer & preventer” strongly preferred

• Extremely organized and detail-oriented

• Exceptional customer service and support skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Business Acumen: Fulfills strategic goals, orients toward profitability, understands implications of decisions

• Able to resolve assigned tasks often with little or no guidance

• Seeks guidance as needed; best done right first time than redoing after wasting time

• Works well with people of varying personalities and philosophies

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to walk, stand, and sit for long periods of time

• Viewing screens and paperwork for long periods of time while remaining attentive

• Must be able to lift and carry supplies weighing up to 50 pounds

• Position may require bending, leaning, kneeling, and walking

• Ability to speak and write concisely to effectively communicate

• Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical situations and act swiftly in urgent situations

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS, COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

• Full-time salaried exempt position

• Starting salary $50,000+ depending on qualifications

• Semi-flexible hours from 8a-5p weekdays with occasional evenings and weekends

• Potential for hybrid work from home options at employer’s discretion

• Time off: 68 holiday hours (7 full + 3 half-day), 32 personal hours, 40 vacation hours after 180 days, 80 hours after 1 year, up to 50% vacation carryover
